welcome to ordinal. this legal agreement outlines the terms of service, privacy conditions, and ownership structures governing the projects built, hosted, and operated under the ordinal. umbrella entity.
1. project structures
ordinal. functions as the parent development organization and publisher for the following digital platforms and products:
- demopendium: a decentralized, open-source genealogical connection utility, archive engine, and biological network diagram database.
- frame*: a high-fidelity viewport screenshot utility and rendering browser extension designed for layout capture.
2. terms of service
by accessing demopendium or installing the frame* extension, you agree to these unified terms of service:
- lawful usage: you agree not to use ordinal. services for spoofing public historical records, scraping unauthorized content, or deploying malicious scripts.
- liability limitations: all software released under ordinal. is provided "as-is" without warranty. we are not responsible for data loss, site connectivity gaps, or client browser configuration issues.
- account security: users registering on demopendium are responsible for securing their passwords and credentials.
3. privacy policy
we care deeply about your privacy and structure our systems to limit data footprints:
- demopendium database sync: genealogical information, biographies, and connections generated by users are synchronized to our database layers via supabase. public indices are only editable by authorized accounts or via community review.
- frame* offline boundaries: the frame* extension operates entirely locally within your browser context. image captures, layout scaling, and dimensions are processed client-side and never transmitted to our servers.
- no telemetry cookies: we do not drop advertising tracking loops or sell analytical profiles.
4. open source and licensing
many of our platforms, scripts, and algorithms are released under permissive open-source protocols. individual license blocks are detailed in their respective git repositories.
